Hi all,

I've also been afflicted with the google redirect problem(s) that seems to be going around. In IE and Firefox, I can do a google search for something, but if I click on a search result, I get redirected to one of many spam sites. Additionally, Google Chrome will not display any websites at all - I don't know if this is related, but it started happening at the same time.

To answer the five questions that Bobbye asked in many of these threads:

1. If you type a word in the Google search box, and then choose one of the sites that comes up, what happens? It gets redirected to one of many spam sites.

2. Does a different site load? Yes.

3. Does any site load? Yes, but not the one I was trying to access.

4. Are the sites the same/different? I've gotten many different ones.

5. Are you sure you're not seeing a Google page saying DNS server couldn't be contacted? Yep.

Anyway, I've completed the eight steps, and don't notice any improvement. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help, and I apologize if I missed or screwed up any of the steps. Log files are attached.

Thanks again!

Note: for what it's worth, the same redirecting problem happens with Bing or Yahoo searches as well.
