ONLY Hijackthis logs which are posted as an ATTACHMENT with a .TXT extension will be considered!
Any copy-and-paste logs will be IGNORED, as they make for too much clutter in the thread.
Do NOT attach MS-Word .DOC files either, they will NOT be looked at!
If you don't like this idea, you are advised to seek help somewhere else!

Please, do NOT post your log in someone else's thread!
Start your OWN THREAD, it's easier for everyone!

Also, post HJT-logs ONLY in the Security and the Web Forum !!!!

When you install Hijackthis, put it in e.g. C:\Program Files\HJT, NOT in Temp and NOT on your Desktop!
Otherwise HJT can NOT make backups of the 'fixes', in case you want to UNDO a fix!

Run Hijackthis and save its log-file as e.g. Hijackthis.txt with a .TXT extension.

Then start your new posting at TechSpot by clicking on New Thread
(or use Post Reply in an existing thread).
Scroll down until you see a button Manage Attachments. Click on that and a popup-window opens.
Click on the Browse button, find the HijackThis.txt on your PC and doubleclick on it.
Now click on the Upload button in the popup. When done, click on the Close this window button.
Finish your message-text, then click on Submit Message.

You can modify your own existing posts by clicking on the Edit button underneath it, then delete the (pasted) HijackThis log, and re-post it as an attachment. (see above).

The main reason WHY you want to post a HJT-log is, that you were hit by Adware, Popups and other nasties.
Take a look at this post first, and follow the instructions EXACTLY. Only THEN should you post your HJT-log!

That post does a LOT more than sorting SEARCH-problems.
