Properly uninstall Avast products.

Running two antivirus products on the same computer can degrade performance and cause system instability. It is important that any previously installed antivirus software is uninstalled from your system before installing a new security product. Typical uninstallation using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) is often insufficient, and for that reason we have specialized uninstallers.

How to uninstall Avast software using aswClear:

1. Download aswclear.exe on your desktop
2. Start Windows in Safe Mode
3. Open (execute) the uninstall utility
4. If you installed avast! in a different folder than the default, browse for it. (Note: Be careful! The content of any folder you choose will be deleted!)
5. Click REMOVE
6. Restart your computer
