VIA IDE Accelerator Driver 120b

This driver supports Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 only. Legacy Microsoft Operating systems are not supported. This driver will increase performance of ATA hard drives and ATAPI devices (such as CD/DVD/combo drives etc). This driver may be used with any VIA chipset. Further information is contained in the Readme file. This driver is currently only available in this individual package. It will however, be included in a future release of the VIA Hyperion 4in1 driver package.

Introduction

The VIA storage high performance driver is built up with high level driver architecture that provide user better performance, property display and compatibility with VIA south bridge storage controller.
Support Platform

The VIA storage high performance driver supports Windows 2000, XP and Server 2003. The other legacy platforms are not serviced.
File Description:

vIdePort.inf : INF for install VIA storage port/bus driver
vIdePort.sys : VIA storage port driver
vIdeBus.sys : VIA storage bus driver
vIdeInst.dll : coinstaller for port/bus driver suit
VProPage.dll: dll for property page

Note: Before proceeding with your driver installation we suggest you make sure you are installing the latest version available and for the appropriate model/revision and Operating System. We strongly suggest following 'readme' instructions for installing drivers when available. Often restarting your system will be necessary for the new driver to become active and start functioning properly.
