StarCraft 2 release pushed back until 2010
Blizzard attributed the delay to needing additional development time for Battle.net, which may be beneficial in the long run for the game's success. The company has a lot riding on StarCraft II, so making sure it is polished and ready for the world is going to be important – particularly so since they hope for all StarCraft fans to be shelling out for three separate boxes to get the complete game.

The US is not a person or company, it can't go bankrupt, it can always create more debt and one can collect on the debts. Even the Federal Reserve, the private for-profit corporation who prints our money is powerless. One new law could take everything they own. The US can just decide to reorganize and not honor any old debt and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Other countries will just go along and do whatever we tell them. When you have the most powerful army and economy in the world you set the rules and terms, and thats why everyone resents us, pure jealousy, and they don't do anything about it because everything we do is for the best, and they know it. China has no choice but to play ball and buy our dollars and debt. They can barely manage their country and need us more than we need them. Lets face it, the US by far is the most successful country in the history of mankind. Even the poorest among us have cable tv, and have problems not getting fat. Never in the history of the world has obesity been a problem for poor people. Its not perfect, but its better than anything else mankind has come up with. As far as health care goes, if you are sick, go into any hospital, they have to treat you, its the law. None of that has anything to do with Blizzard delaying the game. The reasons they give are plausible and probably correct. Blizzard is one of the few companies that makes decent games anymore and actually have some sense of quality control. |

I didn't know Activision and Blizzard were together... Hope they don't fumble the ball with SC2. Anyways, I'm not surprised with the delay Star Craft Ghost was delayed for a long time then canceled. I would be pissed if they did that with sc2 since it is a good possibility. I'd probably kill myself if SC2 canceled. Well, maybe not kill myself but I'd be really upset. I still play Starcraft with all my friends, we've been waiting wayyyy too long for this game |

wrong. World of Warcraft isnt all about the money. Alot of more casual players are eager for the storyline of World of Warcraft. Starcraft 2 is a competition based RTS that isnt noob friendly. they have these games for the different basis of players. it's not like they take all the money that they get from wow and gross completely off of it. blizzard / activision is owned by a company in europe and they're dispersed a specified amount based off what they are allotted. All of you tards that feel that they make uber cash... NO. game designers , artists, programmers, the hundreds of people on their team ALL need money per hour to make a game. and of hte allotted money, its not that much. which is why people left their team in the first place to make games they wanted to have the money they were being given to make something they like. which is the reason why wow's quality has gone down. Starcraft is a whole different game completely. blizzards games have always been top quality and never flawed. now the reason they probably pushed it back was because of this cash issue. wait it out, be patient and stfu :] |

You got to be kidding, i ve been waiting for god knows how many years for d3. we should have been waiting for d5 ! Graphics already looks bad, because they are not able to finish the game. They work at wow all the time, that s why they can t finish d3. |

Its a lot better from Blizzard's point of view to have people complain about delays now than about game quality when it finally comes out. Are any of you not going to buy the game because its coming out late? Didn't think so. And what's up with this "they may cancel SC2" shenanigans? No worries, chaps, that aint happening. |

I would much rather the game be delayed, an be good, than the game come out now and suck. But we gotta give it to Blizzard, they always come out with top class games. |

If as you say, they are different teams, why would you think that D3 release is subordinated to SC2? |

Starcraft Graphics lost their classical touch in the second comeback... I probably would have a real problem recognizing the individual units in the game, sigh... |

i doubt they would postpone the release of their video game due to an "economic depression". MW2 was released in 2009 and became the highest grossing video game evaaaaaaaaaaaa |

Will it go the way of Duke Nukem Forever (4)? The more you wait, the more you need to report to a new engine that is not dated. |

It seems that only a handful understand how a company is run. WoW, d3, d2 patch 1.13, Starcraft patches, sc2, etc. all have their own teams, and these teams usually don't work on multiple projects! Just because fictional person Henry works at a drive through does not mean he has to do every task possible. They maximize their production speed and quality by limiting the divergence of team members. Thus, wow team knows the most about wow, so why would they be working on sc2? |
