Weekend Open Forum: Where will you vacation this year?
Over the past few weeks I’ve been planning a summer vacation for myself and a couple of friends. My last vacation came five years ago as part of a road trip to Panama City Beach that only lasted three days.
Granted, I’ve been to Las Vegas three out of the past five years but that’s hardly what I’d consider a relaxing trip since I was in town to cover the Consumer Electronics Show.
Next month I’ll be setting sail on the largest cruise ship in the world for a seven night Western Caribbean tour. It will be my first ever cruise and the first time I’ve been out of the country since I was around five years old so needless to say, I’m pretty excited!
With summer now in full swing, we want to hear about your vacation plans in this week’s Weekend Open Forum. If you aren’t going anywhere this year, tell us about last year’s trip or perhaps your all-time favorite vacation.

I feel sorry for you Americans for the pitiful amount of holiday days you get each year! I am however jealous of the fact that your country is so large with such varying landscapes and climates that you pretty much don't have to look to other places to go on vacation (however personally I always prefer going to another country for the culture/experience/language).
Anyway I just got back from a sunny week spent with 9 friends at a villa in a quiet town on the island of Mallorca, was lush. Thinking of making a trip to LA in a few months also!
