Microsoft's oft-rumored Surface Mini tablet may be preparing to make landfall as early as next month. A Chinese electronics store named Vostrostone recently listed a couple of cases for the incoming tablet on Amazon with an in stock date of May 18.

The two cases in question include a $10 ultra-thin smart cover and a $33 keyboard folio case with detachable Bluetooth keyboard. A description for the listings claims the cases have all of the necessary cutouts for access to ports and controls. The folio also mentions the tablet will be 8 inches in size but unfortunately, no other details are provided.

While the images accompanying the listing do show the cases in question, the slate used in the pictures is more than likely a placeholder.

It's entirely possible the case maker has some insider information to work with but as we've seen before, it's not uncommon for a manufacturer to take a shot in the dark with regard to guessing new product designs. As evident by this report and others, it gives the case maker some early publicity and offers a jump on the competition.

That said, I can't imagine a ton of people would have much interest in a case for a tablet that doesn't even officially exist yet much less one that isn't available for purchase. Either way, it's worth taking this with a pinch of salt until we hear more on the matter.
