The Phenom II X4 920 and 940 were 7% and 11% faster than the Phenom X4 9950 in the 3Dmark Vantage CPU performance test, respectively. Still this made the Phenom II X4 940 roughly 5% slower than the Core 2 Quad Q9650 and 11% slower than the Core i7 920.
