Benchmarks: EVEREST, CINEBENCH R10

Again we find there is very little difference between the Phenom X4 9950 and the new Phenom II X4 processors in terms of memory bandwidth, this time on EVEREST Ultimate Edition. The bandwidth results are also very similar to those of the Core 2 processors, which are using the same DDR2-1066 memory.


When testing with CINEBENCH R10 the Phenom II X4 940 is just able to edge out the Core 2 Quad Q9650 in the multi-thread CPU test. This also made the Phenom II X4 940 roughly 17% faster than the old Phenom X4 9950 processor.

Still it was around 21% slower than the Core i7 920, giving Intel's latest processors a significant advantage in this test. The new Phenom II X4 processors were not nearly as impressive when measuring the GPU performance.
