Nvidia has released a hotfix today that resolves high CPU usage after quitting some games. You can download the drivers here.

Rebooting the PC or rolling back the driver can mitigate the issue until Nvidia releases its hotfix

GeForce hotfix driver version 466.74 solves a DCP Watchdog violation error that may occur in systems with GeForce GTX 600 / 700 / GTX 16 and RTX 20 series GPUs.

AMD has released a new Radeon Adrenalin Hotfix, version 19.1.1, which improves performance for Fortnite Season 7 when using Radeon RX 580 and Radeon RX Vega 64 graphics cards. Also solves a long list of bugs that range from system lag to a Zero RPM control fail.

A new Radeon Adrenalin Graphics Driver 18.10.2 Hotfix offers support for Fallout 76 B.E.T.A, fixes crashes in some Vulkan API games, and another multi-GPU bug on Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

The Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Hotfix version 18.4.1 offers initial support for Windows 10 April 2018, but also fixes texture issues in World of Final Fantasy.

The latest Radeon Adrenalin Hotfix adds support for A Way Out, Sea of Thieves and Vulkan 1.1, but also fixes an intermittent stutter in Forza Motorsport 7. Gameplay in Final Fantasy XV and Star Wars Battlefront 2 has also been improved.

The latest AMD Radeon Crimson driver is one mean hotfix. Version 17.10.2 improves performance for Destiny 2, Assassin's Creed: Origins and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Support for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update is now official in addition to some bug fixes.

All you Radeon owners playing Total War: Warhammer II or Forza Motorsport 7 should download this new driver that promises performances enhancements for those two titles, plus bug fixes in F1 2017.

Hotfix driver releases usually introduce zero day support for popular titles, but this batch is more oriented toward bug fixes, and the list is long. One highlight for new Vega owners is a patch for system unresponsiveness after resuming from sleep and playing back video content.

Last week we reported on the release of GeForce graphics driver 384.76 but since then a few new features have been discovered. Namely DX12 support on older Fermi graphics cards and Netflix 4K streaming on Pascal GPUs running Windows 10. The small number update to 384.80 is due to a fatal flaw fix affecting Watch Dogs 2. This new AMD driver offers a considerable performance boost of up to 30% when using 8xMSAA in DiRT 4 and Prey. A new AMD Crimson hotfix solves random hangs after short periods of gameplay in NieR: Automata as well as long map/launch load times in Forza Horizon 3. Anyone with a Radeon RX 550 series graphics card will be happy to know there is a specific fix for system hangs when entering sleep and hibernate modes, too. It's that time of the month again and just as one would expect AMD has a new hotfix ready. This one adds support for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III and there is a performance improvement of up to 7% on Radeon RX 580 8GB graphics when compared to Radeon Software Crimson ReLive edition 17.4.3.(RS-131).

If you installed the new Windows 10 Creators Update in your notebook and all of the often you're getting black screens while booting, this driver update is for you. Like with most hotfixes, these don't come with a WHQL certifications, but usually the same driver is release as a final version days later with zero o very little changes.

Ghost Recon fans rejoice, AMD has released a new Crimson Hotfix that adds support for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands just released today. The updated driver promises up to 6% performance improvement on Radeon RX 480 when compared to Crimson ReLive 17.2.1, and if that's not enough there's a long list of bug fixes. AMD has launched a new hotfix driver with support for Conan Exiles Beta and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Beta. Besides optimizations for these two titles, the new driver fixes several issues in other games like Diablo III, FIFA17, Forza Horizon 3 and Watch Dogs 2.
