Help me to understand better. Is your wireless router 5 GHz WiFi or are you using some type of 5G modem/hotspot that will not connect to the repeater?

Absolutely.

WiFi 6 ( aka 5g ) is very picky and FEW devices are compatible. The standards are shown here:

Gabriel Pike asked a details of my previous question.
I live in an Age Care Place and they have a 5 G network and a very weak signal,
I bought a WiFi n repeater and tried many different ways to get to the log in place. No hope.
I cannot get to the login place and I suspect that the device does not work on a 5G network.

My question is " How can I find out whether or no the repeater works on a 5 G network?@

It should say on the box documentation. As @jobeard said the standard is picky and is not supported by many devices yet. It might be tricky to find a repeater that works.

To Gabriel, Thank you for the info. I suspected as much but had no way of finding out as the supplier refused to accept my emails with these questions.
