Inactive [A] Internet Browser keeps redirecting to Searchbif.net

The first few times I noticed the browser redirection (BTW I am using Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3, with Internet Explorer 8) I used System Restore and thought it had fixed it, but then it would pop back up again. Now I cannot even open Internet Explorer. I can open Google Chrome, but it is infected with browser redirection, too. I tried to run Malwarebytes Anti Malware but it didn't detect it. After the third system restore, when I try to run Malwarebytes I get "Runtime Error 5."

When I reboot PC using F8 in Safemode I could not make any browser work to research problem or download anything with either, so I am on a laptop now to report this.

I do not use Facebook or Twitter but I do play World of Warcraft. I tried to load the game and it said, it will not load.

At the moment I am running the infected PC in regular mode, I was able to download AVG Internet Security 2012 and am running a scan but am doubtful it will be able to detect it. Is there any storebought antivirus disk I can get a hold of that will definitely detect and remove this virus?

How can I fix this? Thanks for any help.
