  1. hi, i have a compaq presario cq56. it belongs to my daughter. today she tells me she gets this thing saying that she has all these bogus infections on her computer an she needs to purchase the 'full version of win 7 internet security' to fix it....i already know its a scam but its totally hijacked the system, no internet and it happens on the startup....y'day i did a scan on malwarebytes and avg and thought i fixed the problem but apparently its worse.

so far i uninstalled all her browsers except for IE, both malwarebytes, and AVG, emptied the temp and prefetch folders.

i know that aint nearly enough steps and the issue is there. my level of expertise quickly diminishes from here.....HELP SOMEONE
