I added an ati 6770 and upon trying to boot computer to install the drivers i received a black screen.
I tried booting in safe mode and was successful but the computer kept freezing before i could install.
So I attempted to do a fresh install of windows.
when I reached the screen where I choose my hard disk, it could not discover the hard disk.
stumped because I was just in safe mode I tried to switch the SATA ports that the HDD and the CD ROM were plugged into. after doing so I received a new message.
PXE-E61 media test failure- check cable
and the computer would not read my CD ROM or HDD and I could not find either of the in the BIOS
I have check online and rechecked bios and everything is set the way it is supposed to be.
I am just wondering if anyone might know if it is a drive problem or my MOBO
