After reformating my hard drive with a wndows xp disk (Hoping to downgrade from Vista) my computer refuses to boot from my hard drive (because there nothing there I assum) or my cd drive were the window XP disk is! Ocationally it will boot from the disk but only to have the insalltion process restart half way through(for some reason it always wants to format). When It doesnt automaticaly boot i go to the boot menu, I have selected either option but the only thing that happens is that an evil dash appers...blinking...blinking...mocking me! Please help before I become bored of TV! Thank you!

Is it a legit copy of Windows XP? Will the XP disk work on another PC?
You might want to make sure that the manufacturer of your PC provides drivers for Windows XP, or, that you can find them from a third party source before continuing with the installation.
