New ASUS Xonar D1 Is Awesome
First: Disregard the title on the forum page. I was going to ask a basic question, but found my answer. I changed the post to a quick review.
A Xonar D1 just replaced my onboard audio, and I'm very impressed. As the Xonar's box says, the sound is much cleaner. The tone color is richer, the separation between instruments is more distinct, and I'm hearing little sounds in my music I don't remember hearing before. I mostly listen to music and haven't tried any games or DVDs, but I have no doubt they too will be a big improvement. It's late, so I'll check out some games and movies later in the weekend and will post an update.
