AI slop, privacy fears, and endless scrolling are making people fall out of love with the internet

The fact that only 29% would pay for a tracking-free internet tells you everything about how this actually gets fixed — nobody wants to open their wallet, they just want to complain until someone else fixes it for free.

Yes, this is good point and what I thought too.

But another layer can possibly be added on top of this. I suspect that a [insert %] of folks suspect that it would be a waste of money, a scam even and that it wouldn't really change much.
