For an 11-incher, the Alienware M11x brings a lot of muscle to the table when you consider the fact that most machines in that size range are running Intel's Atom CPU and integrated graphics. Instead, M11x is configured with Intel's Pentium SU4100 or Core 2 Duo SU7300 ULV processors and a 1GB Nvidia GeForce GT335M GPU – at least until next month's refresh, that is.

"The most powerful 11-inch notebook in the world" will receive Intel's ULV Core i3, i5 and i7 processors, Dell's Pearce Clune said in the video embedded above. Clune didn't reveal whether any other changes are in the pipeline, though we wonder if Nvidia's Optimus graphics switching technology will be added, as well. We imagine a Core i7 would sap what little battery life the M11x already has, and Nvidia Optimus could potentially help on that front.

Likewise, there's no telling how or if the new processors will affect the M11x's price, which currently kicks off at $799.

Man, I really hope the new processors don't raise the cost of the M11x. I'm saving up to get one in two months, and I'd already be stuck getting the Pentium processor as it is.
