Well the latest is my lack of ability to ping ip's getting the system32\ping.com is not a valid win32 app. I can't open task manager, and alot of times when trying to open a program my turbotax starts to try to install. I also just lost ability to open add/delete programs in control panel. I ran hijack, hope someone can help a bit.

Seems you have 2 Antivirus softwares happening:
C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0\avp.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\CCPD-LC\symlcsvc.exe
I believe it would be best to uninstall Symantec (Norton) fully
Then continue on to:
New Preliminary Removal Instructions

If you run the HJT program yourself, you will see the entries for poker and others similar, you are able to tick these fix them too.

Looks to me like you have a fully functioning Norton program:

You also have malware and files that need to be removed. You would do well to follow the reference given for the full malware cleaning process.
