Alleged Radeon RX 3000 details leak: a $250 RTX 2070 competitor?

Still rtx are 20xx ti series and rx 590 . so how can they put rx 3xxx on series that would use years to com to rx 3000 series ?
nvidia can sue them for use of same gpu name.
ill tin they wil com out with rx 600 and so on nxt year not rx 3000.

Talks about marketing and robbing customers after the Vega fiasco and its high price which was higher than quicker Nvidia counterparts.

Cool story bro.

What Vega fiasco..? (They run FreeSync2 displays flawlessly...)

On the other hand, I bought a RTX 2080 @ $699 to replace my GTX 1080ti for my G-sync display and it doesn't offer any noticeable improvements in performance...

Higher price RTX for less performance is what your talking about, isn't it..?

Personally I don’t believe these rumours. AMD cards are always objectively worse than Nvidia cards in pretty much every way and over the last few years have even cost more, with the exception of the budget components.

I have a feeling the cards will be slightly less powerful than predicted and considerably more expensive. AMD are not shy of deceiving customers especially when it comes to price and value. Leaks like this will generate a value hype train.

What don't you understand, about 12nm verse 7nm..?

Are you salty that Dr Su penned a deal with Samsung 19 months ago, to be the first to use their new 7nm node..? And that AMD has an 11 month head start over Nvidia on their 7nm uArch..?

You keep posting, as if you do not understand how AMD can possibly get ahead of nvidia on performance (well dERP!).

I have a very good grasp of 12nm vs 7nm. It appears that you however have made a lot of assumptions on a die shrink and a quite blatantly false leak.

I know that because you’re an AMD fanboy you’re ready to sing from the treetops about AMDs price to performance but to save the egg on your face I would wait if I were you.

250$ price vs 500$ card? Come one, AMD isn't that stupid when they know 450 will make customers beg to take their money.

No they won't. The $180 1050 Ti is busy outselling the $150 570 by a factor of 4:1 right now. It isn't insane to say 50% of PC gamers seriously only consider buying Nvidia cards, and then 25% mostly also buy Nvidia.

AMD really only has a loyal 25% of the market (and only when they are doing well!). It is going to take insane pricing and a mega marketing push for Navi to do well. I do not think a $300 RX 3080 beating the 2070 in performance is out of the question. It is also not out of the question that the much weaker 2060 will still outsell it :/ ...

People say AMD graphic cards are less reliable too. Unfortunately, of 5 cards I used one that was AMD died--480 I think. And right after warranty expired :( ….. Sorry AMD, you will have to produce a card 30% faster for similar price of nvidia, and of course, no 2 year warranty. # years or life warranty

So it seems you are still in denial, what TSMC's 7nm is, or/and it's benefits... because you do not seem to have a "good grasp", and are unable to get technical, or fathom. Yet, for some reason (given ur tainted posts & colored glasses) that when Nvidia tapes out their TSMC's 7nm in May... you are going to be touting the glories of TSMC's 7nm... right?

Please, by all means point out where my (& other's) speculation are off. Or why the uplift presented by Dr Su & Pmaster, and TSMC's themselves... are wrong, or improbably or undoable by your standards. Hilarious, that you sound angered over cheap GPU prices. That alone tells us something about the banner u carry.

You are in fact, in denial of 7nm potential, & simply calling anyone who points out the potential of these rumors, as AMD fanbois. Which makes you a little kid yelling on the internet. I currently own $5k worth of nvidia cards and $700 worth of AMD cards.

I am impartial and having nothing to prove...

I have had the opposite experience. The GTX 100-500 series had horrific reliability - and Turing also has a ton of problems. It comes down to what generation you are talking about.

Man I hate building a new computer and watching tech stuff when new things are announced lol. I feel like I can never catch up.

Anyway, hear me out
Folks, lower your expectations. These are RUMORS, it doesnt make sense that AMD would JUST re-release their RX590 for about $280 to go and release this RX3xxx series for $40 less.. AMD would cannibalize their own sales. The RX3080 could very well be on par with the RTX2070 seeing as how the RX 590 is roughly 50% slower than the gtx 1080, however it is HIGHLY unlikely they would sell this new series at $250 and give up their profit and market share when they could appropriately price them according to market demands.

I promise you that these rumors are in fact too good to be true.

You should watch AdoredTV's follow-up video. His contacts basically say that AMD has decided to raise prices due to how many people thought it was crazy they might sell a 200mm^2 card for $250 (Newsflash - that's normal lol). You can now expect $299 for the 2070 killer, and TBH that's what I expected the price to fall on too anyways.

My speculation is that this $299 msrp would be for the entry level RX3060 as I do believe the RX3080 will settle around the $380~400 mark to compete

Im not really holding my breath for these releases, but I do want to see some competition to see some price cuts for consumers. Oh, and don't forget the Blue Team is making GPUs this round too

It's not 100% confirmed, but it seems like rumors are about to point to Navi being a Q3 release instead of a Q1/2. Most likely a $250-$350 RTX 2070 competitor.

Dang, so I have to suffer and wait. By that time, being an RTX 2070 competitor may not even matter anymore.

It will matter. The rumor seemingly points to it actually beating the 2070, and doing so while using 20% less energy. For half the price that will be an incredible deal - it will mean FINALLY 4K@60Hz gaming is doable by mainstream cards (that are actually still priced mainstream lol).

Also who knows, maybe it will come Q2. But I think Q1 is completely out of the question at this point.... it just seems like something caused a slight delay. Then again who knows if it will underperform too :/.
