Amazon customers report having their PS5 deliveries being stolen by drivers

If Amazon is doing the actual delivery, they usually email me a photo of the actual package(s) on my porch telling me it has been delivered. This helped me once when a large plastic envelope was delivered empty because it wasn't sealed properly. I referenced their own photo to show it was empty when I reported the problem. I had no problem getting a new item sent right away. Luckily I've not yet had problems getting packages regardless of the website or delivery company other than occasional delays in delivery.

I have yet to see anything like that, I have a doorbell cam so I know if they delivered it, the carriers often claim false deliveries.

That's what you get for not vetting delivery guys, blindly hiring the mischievous lot, like ex-cons, junkies and other low lives.
No choice but to hire them if delivery wages are like dirt. Any Amazon customer willing to pay much more in delivery fees to get more people with better character working as drivers?

Driving for a delivery business requires DoT physical, which you can't get without a drug test.

Incorrect. I have been driving with amazon since losing my job last month. They do conduct a DBS check on you but nothing like an examination of drugs test. Literally anyone can sign up and it is the most impersonal and poorly paid job I’ve ever had. They don’t even check your vehicle is safe or your insurance. Honestly it’s trash. They’ll probs track my mobile down and dismiss me for this message. Not making an excuse for the scum who stole though, I hope they get prosecuted. It will be easy for amazon to identify the bad apples because all parcels are scanned through your phone. I hope they go hard on them. Please remember not all drivers are bad though, some of us are just trying to earn a few pounds for Christmas.

Only if you're driving a 10,000 lb+ commercial vehicle for interstate deliveries. There is no DOT requirement for driving a delivery van locally.

Amazon would probably require drug test to work there. It's not that hard too pass a drug test.there's products you can buy to pass drug test.
