Nominations for the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards were announced early Monday morning. As has been the case for a few years now, the two top streaming video providers – Amazon and Netflix – received multiple nominations.

Hulu was left out of the running completely after receiving its inaugural nomination last year for “Casual.”

Netflix this year earned five nominations but as Variety notes, just two shows are responsible for the lot. “The Crown” received a nomination for best drama series with John Lithgow and Claire Foy picking up nominations for supporting actor and best actress, respectively. Netflix hit “Stranger Things” also garnered noms for best drama series with Winona Ryder scoring a nomination for best actress.

Amazon, meanwhile, also landed five nominations this year. “Mozart in the Jungle” and “Transparent” each received nominations for best comedy series while Gael García Bernal from “Mozart in the Jungle” and Jeffrey Tambor from “Transparent” both received noms for best actor. Billy Bob Thornton also received a nomination for lead actor in a drama series for his role in legal drama “Goliath.”

Many of Netflix’s popular shows including “House of Cards,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Orange Is the New Black” and “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” received zero nominations. Similarly, Amazon’s “The Man in the High Castle,” “Crisis in Six Scenes,” “Catastrophe,” “Fleabag” and “One Mississippi” didn’t make the cut.

As for movies, Amazon scored big with five nominations for “Manchester by the Sea” as well as a nom in the foreign language category for “The Salesman.” Netflix, on the other hand, received just one film nomination for “Divines.”

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony takes place on January 8, 2017, in Beverly Hills, California. Actor and comedian Jimmy Fallon will serve as the show's host.
