AMD has released a new set of WHQL-certified drivers today with full support for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 releases up to the just-announced RTM build. The monthly update brings the Catalyst package up to version 9.7 and promises the highest gaming performance as well as improved compatibility.

Crysis fans looking to run the game in high-quality mode on a 4800 series GPU will get a nice 8% performance boost, while performance increases of up to 11% are mentioned for Lost Planet Colonies. The latest release also introduces a redesigned Desktops & Display Manager that lets users configure and arrange their displays more quickly and full support for HydraVision under Windows 7. Rounding out the updates, Catalyst 9.7 introduces support for the ATI Video Converter in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 7.

I doubt you will get performance boosts in WoW at this point, the game has been around for so long that it's been optimized to the max on current and older generation hardware.

WoW is not taxing on hardware either, at least by today's or even last year's standards.

Not to get off-topic too far, but does anyone know if they added CrossFire support in Fallout 3 yet?

eh, probably nothing then. if they haven't done so by now it's not likely to happen at all. thanks anyways!
