Why are you all so blind?

These contracts put AMD in a relationship of interdependence with key players, hands that will work to close the gaps in the software ecosystem, and will also boost the company's market value beyond $1 trillion. Lisa is playing well with the pieces she has.

As a company, AMD is free to do business with whomever they see fit, and I don't take any issue with them selling GPUs to Meta.

I do take issue with them allowing a 10% stake to Meta for the simply reason that they can now put internal pressure on AMD to steer company direction to suit their own agenda. Combine this with OpenAI's 10% stake, and we're now talking 20% of the votes for company direction being pushed towards AI interests, which as a consumer, does not interest me.

I'm surprised you don't realize that, any time a company purchases a large portion of its supply from a single vendor, it becomes dependent upon that vendor. And when those purchases constitute a significant amount of the vendor's total revenue, the vendor is likewise dependent on them. These contracts are doing no more than formalizing reality.

A popular sentiment among some but let me explain something you're probably not aware of.
It's possible to use FB in a non-damaging manner. I.e. without ads (all sane web users run adblockers), fake news and influencer bullshit. <<<<<
I only see what my ACTUAL friends post, keeping me aware of what happens to them and the stuff they create.

But something else: in Januari 2025 my soulmate was on her deathbed literally on the other side of the planet.
FB Messenger made it possible to share her last moments, easing her passing considerably.
I would gladly have given asshat Zuck everything I owned in exchange for that but instead got it for free.

So there you have it. Not every FB user's a ***** on a brainrot drip. Many people actually use FB instead of being used.
FB's not difficult to tame for those that want to. And just for clarity, ad profiles dont/can't bother people who refuse all advertising on the screens they OWN.

I genuinely respect that experience, and I’m really sorry you had to go through that. Being able to share those last moments with someone you love is incredibly meaningful, and I’m glad the technology made that possible for you. No one can take that away from you.

At the same time, I think two things can be true. Facebook or Messenger can absolutely provide real value in specific moments, especially when it comes to staying connected across distance, while still being a platform that has broader issues worth criticizing.

You’re clearly intentional about how you use it, with ad blockers, a curated friends list, and ignoring the noise. That’s great. But not everyone has the knowledge, discipline, or digital literacy to manage it that way, especially teens. For many people, the platform is engineered in ways that encourage overuse, engagement loops, outrage content, and data harvesting, whether they realize it or not.

So when people criticize Facebook, it’s usually about the system and incentives behind it, not dismissing the meaningful personal moments it can enable.

I don’t think every Facebook user is brainrotted. I just think the platform itself isn’t neutral. Some people use it carefully. Others get used by it. Both realities do coexist.

Perhaps 25 is worth considering; that's approximately when the prefrontal cortex, responsible for impulse control, stops growing.

They don't hate themselves. Their role was to to exist and pretend there was competition for Intel. They are intels puppet corporation.
