AMD Radeon HD 6970 Review

ok first off, im not teh anoying guest, names kain from montana!

to my knowledge, CUDA, physix, is a load of bull ****. CUDA is the core design (i THINK) and ATi.AMD can do physix, http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=5634

its a OLD link, but i remember somethign about it on the AMD website and think i say some **** in catylist control center about it, and i know for a FACT that you cna do it with "modded" drivers. but with $200 6 cores, who needs physix, especally SENCE IT DIED. it never really took off

and hey, i hope how you like how your 9800gt (like mine) is a 8800gt with a different sticker, or your 3xx and 2xx cards are rebrands of the 9800GTX/GTX+

thats why i buy AMD now, i got screwed out of some of my money, considering when i bought this 9800gt i was like 12, and it took all my summer party money, i was quite pissed.

but i love this 9800gt (with aftermarket cool after it reached 120C) and i love my moms 5770.

and i cant stress enough THE 6XXX CARDS ARE A TWEEK TO TEH 5xxx SERIES. this was never ment to rape anything (initally, then i got over hyped be retard fanboys) it was ment to improve effenicenty and a LITTLE performance.

call me a fan boy, i have owned both, and i perfeer wahts ever is cheaper and faster (AKA AMD right now) as i still have higher prioritys then my computer, as in high school "parties", my 77' chevy truck, and 44 ounce pops from holiday. so i cant blow even the 350 on this card. hopefully in the sumemr i can get a raise and aford some things for my ageing 2 core system.

i see the 6xxx performing the thigns that AMD siad it would do. and it did it better then i expected

No such thing as Physix, its PhysX and nVIDIA has dedicated hardware in its GPU's for this. As for it died, google the PC game Bullet.

G92(b) is not the same as the GT200 core...

I was gonna tear the rest of your comment apart piece by piece, but its better, and a LOT faster, to just say, sell your computer, and never touch another. Do us that favour please.

Hey Steve, its refreshing to see the people that actually do work on this site replying to its readers. LOVE the site btw. Are their any well known sites that you know of that fudge results, or favour one brand over the other? Of course I'm not asking for names. I'm just curious, because this bias talk annoys me.

I currently have 18 tech sites bookmarked (not including the ones that i find while Googling), so when I'm looking for new hardware, it can take me hours to review it. All this talk about Tom's and two guys named Kyle or w/e seems pretty silly with SO many sources out there on the internet. My motto is, read as many review/articles as you can find, then make your decision. For example, Techspot is my second bookmark after Fudzilla (i like to start with short one page articles/news to start my day), but that doesn't mean I live by what Techspot or Fudzilla says.

as long it plays the game. thats all i care. spend too much on a gpu is also a horrible decision. peace out

Its a load of crap that's all it is. All the sites I know of are very reputable. Guys like Kylie from HardOCP do an excellent job and as far as I can tell, just tell it as it is!

Can I ask what you are doing on a tech site if you clearly don't care? Have you ever owned a high-end graphics card because they kick ****.

Im running the XFX HD6970 Black edition and it rocks, but then I have the AMD badge, T-shirt & tattoo :), the only thing I wish for is to pay $ prices rather than £s in the UK cost me £306.00 = $498.00 :(
