$597 is still too much for a gaming CPU for me. And for games the 12700K is faster and cheaper and you get PCIe 5.0 and thunderbolt, although I think the 12700K is also too expensive.

If I was able to get my hands on a reasonably priced GPU I’d probably buy an i5 12400F which is coming in at £160 in the U.K. at this point. Or about £60 cheaper than a 5600X.

+1 for the 12400F. This cpu down below is another good one for the price if someone is in need of more cores.
