The human mind can certainly be effected by inanimate objects, but that does not change their inanimate state. What you failed to take into account, was my statement that, "stupid is as stupid does". So, if driving your car, having a super-duper computer, or posting some crap half baked opinion that, "the internet makes you stupid", elevates your sense of self worth, then you are at once an example of, and a tragic victim to your own device.

Furthermore, high language does not have any necessary relationship to insight whatsoever.

Well then, ego is as ego does. How's yours hanging? I suppose we'll have to expand the commonly held belief that everybody is issued an a**h*** and an opinion, and make it a "trifecta" to include our collective ego(s). Vegetables demonstrate more innate wisdom than much that goes on here don't you think. Pay attention and you might also notice that they are highly personable and utterly essential for the continuation of a great many corporeal forms including our own. So try not to hurt their feelings too badly.

Yes, personality is required to participate as we are now and thus an ego. However, a personality can consist of many different qualities which will necessarily lead to different subjective experiences (those opposites talked about earlier for example) and, by consequence, a particular view at any particular moment. If we're interested in sustained happiness, then it would be prudent to cultivate qualities that can lead to this result and not greater confusion. Would you not agree? On that note, please try not to take this too personally - I'm not.
