Apple has announced plans to offer multiple live streaming options for their 2012 iTunes Festival. The month-long event is being held at the Roundhouse in London and consists of two or three musical acts each evening. Tickets for the free event are being given away through the Festival website on a lottery basis.

If you can’t make it to the Roundhouse but want to get in on the action, there are several ways to enjoy the lineup from the comfort of your own home. From your computer, open iTunes and go to the main iTunes Festival page to watch the gigs live. Apple recommends a broadband connection for the best experience here.

If you’re on the go, download the official iTunes Festival London 2012 app for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This will let users view live shows as well as recorded performances so long as you have a net connection.

Finally, customers with an Apple TV set-top box may have noticed that Cupertino recently added an iTunes Festival app. Apple performed a similar experiment earlier this year when they streamed a Paul McCartney concert through the Apple TV and iTunes.

Usher is set to open the event on September 1 at 9:00 PM. The lineup is a work in progress at this point but other confirmed acts include Alicia Keys, Mumford & Sons, One Republic, Matchbox Twenty and Delilah. Entry for the first four events has already closed and we expect the others to follow suit in the not too distant future.
