I just said few truth's about China and their government and poof my comment is deleted, its pathetic guys!! I think I will have to stop visiting this site all together, I watch Hardware Unboxed anyway so I wouldn't lose much

And yet the article is about China, Apple removing apps from the Chinese app store. Doesn't affect you, me, America, UK, Europe, as crazy as it sounds it only affects people in China yet they won't let us comment about China?

He's being disingenuous here. He poked the mod(s) twice and got his comments deleted because of that. Literally taunted the mod(s) the first time. Playing victim now...

Well I guess if the comments didn't get immediately deleted he could be called out on it for what they were. This is the primary reason to have a dislike button and then options to hide highly disliked comments (which should be on by default but can be turned off by people like me who can bury them in dislikes even further)

It's worth me mentioning here as well, I don't mind a bit of filtering, getting rid of spam or obvious crap like bomb making video links, porn and what not, that's all fair.

But deleting legit comments no matter how negative or positive they are (and are actually on topic) is too much censorship in my opinion and can easily self sustain with a dislike button and hide feature.

Edit: I'd also like to say I don't think other websites that do implement such dislike and hide features go far enough either, if your account has only disliked comments for a certain time period (3 months for example) then any new comments are auto-hidden as if it has been disliked already, this behaviour continues for a month unless his comments actually gets some likes and likes from accounts with over 500 posts on the website.

First of all I was not disingenuous at all, I said what is the truth, people in China do have 0 human rights, China would not be where it is today without the West and Chinese people should be embarrassed of how sensitive their president is. As for whether or not the forum commenting system here could be better, sure. But I haven't seen much of a reason for it so far (and I've had my comments deleted too). Even when it becomes a crapshow because of politics. Doesn't need to be too much like social media either; a popularity contest.

Your human rights are how much money you have and how many powerful people owe you or make use of you.

It was not China that started the two world wars or carried out the brutal Holocaust following continuous prosecution of Jewish communities in the West.

Couldn't agree more. But it is much more than that. He explicitly mentioned how poor african countries are. And how much he would rather live in west. Yet I find it amusing that in freedom some african countries rank higher than The USA. According to him he would be ashamed if he were a Chinese, which he isn't. I don't think Chinese people would be thrilled to have him either after The USA's miserable performance across the world. He has been demanding his rights out of thin air as if he were came to being with it.

I don't get what you are trying to point out. No body wants to snub the Chinese market. Similarly they didn't want to snub the american market. And The USA used & abused that at will. Now you are in other side of spectrum. You are having hard time to accept that you might not get paid for what you want to do or demand rights out of thin air.Give it time, eventually you will come to terms with it.

It rather seems odd your dream destination never change despite how much of muddy history of your preferable countries get unmasked. Forced labor, organs harvesting, ethnic cleansing is how your dream destinations came to being.

Nobody got caught red handed, the West is not perfect but it's still a better place to live than anywhere else in my opinion, this is why millions of people try to migrate to any Western country not the other way around, most African countries are shitholes and that is a fact, this is why I wouldn't want to live in any of them, plus as much as I like the sun it's way too hot for my liking.

Look man I was born in 1990, I lived in Poland until 2005 and then was forced to move to Scotland by my parents, I've been living here for the last 15 years. I know the history of the big European Empires and its definitely not clean but I am not not responsible for any of it, I also never said its was ok to get rich the way they did but again that is in the past. What is happening in China is happening in the present and we are all part of it because we do buy Chinese made stuff. Look at Taiwan, its one of the most democratic countries in the world, that is what China could be and should have been if it wasn't for USA
