Apple's foldable iPhone leaks again, and it's thinner than expected

Oh please. If you really believe that, I have a bridge in New York I'd like to sell you.
I started with the Z Fold3 in 2021 and now I have the Z Fold6. Never had a problem whatsoever with either one 5 years and counting. Dropped both of them multiple times. So my comments are based on real-world usage and personal experience.

Are yours?

Ok I'll bite. I think your splitting hairs...but ok..

It’s new for Apple. Foldables with ugly creases and obvious compromises have been around, sure. That doesn’t mean Apple delivering a foldable with no visible crease or defects at the hinge isn’t something new. Apparently “new” now means “already done poorly by someone else.”

See what I did there?
There has already been foldables and IMO Apple cannot do nothing so revolutionary that it can be called new. Therefore talking about some redefined design as new makes me think that talking about new is just fanboy nonsense.

Foldables existing doesn’t mean the design space is finished. Every current foldable has obvious compromises. If Apple removes or significantly reduces those, that is something new.

By your logic nothing is ever new once a bad version exists. Foldables today all share the same flaws. If Apple fixes those, it’s not fanboyism...it’s iteration that actually matters.

I don't consider new something that is just redefined version of something previously released. If it's something Truly revolutionary, then yes. But I highly doubt that Apple will release anything else than just tweaked version of something we already have seen.

That is logical. There are very few things nowadays that can really be considered new instead of just different version of something we already have. First foldable phone was really something new. All foldables after that are not.

You're lucky. Many have not had such a positive experience.
