Architecht Laptop Buy guide

Hey
I was just wondering what parts of a pc I should focus on when buying a laptop for AutoCad, 3ds max and Rhino.
I am gonna study architechture so I need a new laptop

LARGE memory, BIG HD, good Ghz processor with large onboard cache.

The Laptop preempts a graphics card, so look for an onboard with dedicated memory - - doubtful, but at least look

Hmm; you are the student - - do your home work
Well Hard to do the home work if u dont understand the components of it.
But if you would answer me if the lenovo Y 700 would be a suitable match then That would be a great help
It has a geforce gtx 960m 4GB graphics card
256 gb ssd
8 GB ram with space for more
i5 - skylake

Create a matrix of
  • desired component in column-1
  • product in column 2
  • product components in column 3->n
Now surf the net for Laptop Specifications

I can compare the components All I want but if its suited for the task I cant tell
Like the graphics card
Geforce vs nvidia quadro
What should I go with?
The rest I can understand somewhat

Frankly, I have no idea either! I'm a systems guy and the PC is just a doorway to my world.
That said, compare how one provides more 'coverage' of the attributes than another.

It's interesting to query google with "Geforce vs nvidia quadro?" recalling we're limited to a laptop
(meaning that prohibits 'cards' per say)
