Cell phones are ubiquitous - - aka like toasters, just everywhere.
They are also subsuming (include or absorb something else.):
- cameras
- email
- texting
- calendar
- contacts
- plane / train schedules
- mapping / GPS / driving directions
Also can be loaded with applications, such as
- games
- word processing
- spreadsheets
- databases
- presentations
So at first glance, it would appear that the smartphone IS the new computer - - but look again - - it depends upon YOUR usage. If your a light user and create smallish documents, text, emails and avoid all company business document creation and sharing, then YES, your phone
can become your computer. Beyond that, collaborating with workmates and sharing business reports, charts and presentations is quite another matter as the device is not fit for writing/editing all day long.
