Just recently, my ASSUS M4A87T motherboard had a problem...
The plastic square "ring" that supports and clamps down the CPU heat-sink broke. The result was the heat-sink came lose and the processor went "POOF".
This is the plastic, square bracket that screws into the motherboard. The heat-sink clamps on to the small tabs on this bracket. It was one of these tabs that broke.
I know that this motherboard has been discontinued for a few years.
Is there anyway to get a new bracket for this board? I don't want to get a new board, just the bracket.
Any ideas?
Scott.
