Solved AVG repeated pop ups say I have a Trojan problem.

I've got a problem with the Adobe Reader plug-in for IE. I'm using Qualys Browser Check. It finds 2 instances of the Reader both v10.1, but 11.0.3 is listed as the latest. It gives me the option to update, but, after the install, I still have v10.1.

Is having 2 Adobe Readers listed in the results a problem? I do not see an option for removing the plug-in and doing a clean install.

Note: this PC has Adobe Acrobat Pro v7.1.0 installed.

Thx,

CJ

Everything seems fine but a little slow. It takes 4 minutes for this pc to fully boot-up, 30 to 60 seconds for IE to load up and get to google, and 23 seconds to then go to Techspot.com. Does that seem OK?

Remember I've got Vista Home and IE8 running on an Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz with 24.0 GB ram.

One other issue, I have two other computers on my local network and an iPad mini. Should I run scans on them? New thread? How do I deal with the iPad?

Definitely something wrong there but...

In this forum, we make sure, your computer is free of malware and your computer is clean :)
Because the access to malware forum is very limited, your best option is to create new topic about your current issue, at Windows section.
You'll get more attention.

It's totally up to you.
You can always create new topics and we can run some checks.
As for iPad I don't deal with that kind of OS.

I think I will start a new thread for my laptops to ensure they are OK.

Thank you so much for your help with removing the malware.
