Backing up my iPhone SE 3rd edition without iCloud

In a nutshell, I used to be able to plug my iphones into my laptop & back up using itunes. With my iphone SE 3rd edition I can't & no icloud. Any suggestions? I ran out of google suggestions

Ok, my bad, I think. In the stuff that came with my new iPhone SE 3rd edition was a square white box to plug into the wall outlet, a cord to go from it to my iphone & nothing more, I just now tried to plug a DIFFERENT USB I use on my iphone 6 plus & it works. Fingers crossed.
