Batman Arkham Asylum installs AMD Dual Core Optimizer

Hi everyone.

I'm running a Phenom II X3 720 system on Windows 7 64 Bit. I installed Batman Arkham Asylum and found that a program called AMD Dual Core Optimizer was installed on my system which runs in the background (and during startup).

Do I need to have this on my system? Or should I uninstall it from Add/Remove Programs?
