Battlefield Hardline won't hit 1080p on either console

Who cares about some 1080p lmfao. I just want to play the damn game and proceed to sleep
1080p looks amazing. 1440p or 4k even better still. Anything short of 1080p is obsolete.

Playing BF4 at 1080p or higher is an experience. It's the next level and personally I don't want to go back!

Who cares, I just want to play the game and get down to business as usual

This article failed to realize that the PC version is already delayed and is in fact not coming out in March. It was moved back to at least April. Surprised the article never stated that since TechSpot had reported this back in Feb.

Are you sure? BFH game details in my Origin client show the pre-load date to be March 17th and availability on the 20th.

The only game I can think of that got pushed to April is GTA V. Maybe that's what he/she meant.

LOL wow didn't know resolution matters more than it actually being a good game. All of the indie games on PS4 must be the most amazing experiences ever for you then so why don't you get one right away. No matter how high you get your resolution to it doesn't change the fact over 90% of the games in 2014 were *** no matter the rez.

I think people look at PC gaming all the wrong way! 1st 90% of PC games are GPU limited only! The reason I say this is I have an old q6600 that was released JANUARY of 2007! This is a cpu that's over 7 years old! I have a gtx 760 4gb in it and I still play most games at 60FPS! Point being is as long as you have a computer all you need is a decent GPU!!!!!!!! A gtx 970 is as low as $309 on newegg! So you save $100 compared to a ps4 and get games that not only look better but are cheaper as well! Hook your computer to your TV and you can do 10x the stuff you can do with your ps4! I hate it when people talk about how you have to build this whole gaming rig stuff! I don't think anyone surfs the internet on a ps4! or types reports on a ps4. Point being you have or need a computer anyway so why not spend the extra $300 for a gpu and have a gaming pc?

Picking decent hardware from newegg.com you can build a decent gaming PC (minus software) for about $500, the PS4 is $400 at newegg.com.

That includes a quad-core AMD APU, FM2 motherboard, 4GB DDR3 memory, 1TB HDD, nice case, 500w quality PSU and a GeForce GTX 960. That system would smoke the Xbox One and Playstation 4 and you could play Hardline at 1080p no worries as it should be at least 40% faster than the PS4.

Of course you have to factor in the cost of Windows if you want to go that way plus a keyboard and mouse. That said you will end up with a much more capable and useful system so the added cost should be worth it.

Why go with a APU then get a GTX 960 wouldn't getting a Athlon x4 FM2 chip be a lot cheaper and make more sense graphically? 860k vs 7850k is a $70 price difference add another $50 to the build and your going GTX 970 or go AMD with the R9 280X and pocket the extra cash.

LOL yeah the PC offers many options.

P.S. I wasn't writing a build guide, just making a point.

Don't play many games. Don't have the time unfortunately but I try to play ones that are not only great games from a gameplay perspective but also graphically rich.

I expect the same games they made before to be made on their new system.
So you must be a very satisfied customer, since the ps4 is all about remakes and remastered versions...

And the Xbone is any different? Consoles are nothing but regurgitated crap from the past decade. There has been very little innovation on either side of the fence.

Not saying PC gaming is any different either. Gaming as a whole has been pretty poor the last few years.

Sub par experience on consoles (low, capped FPS and low resolution) it's sad.

A superior PC costs only slightly more than a console. The higher cost is offset by the time you buy about 3-4 games.

The only justificaicon I see to get a console is that it's "easier to use" if gaming is the only thing you want to do.

TL;DR just get a PC

PC's and consoles offer something unique to each platform. Shocking I know, but ask yourself these questions:

Does PC have voice chat for ALL games without the need of 3rd party software(s)?
Can you borrow, sell or buy used PC games?
Can you send an entire computer you built yourself in for warranty?
Do consoles have to worry about ports?
Do console users have to worry about upgrades and graphic settings to maintain playable frame rates on future titles?
Does the PC get the same sports games as consoles?
If a console user gets a gaming PC, does that guarantee their console friends will too?

There is a reason why there are two options. There is no clear winner.

@BFH Devs If my console with a controller is such a bad way to experience your game, then why release it on it? Oh wait you want my money yet you talk **** to me, good luck douche bags. I'm not getting it on my PC or PS4 now for sure until I can get it from the dollar bin just like BF4.

They are not talking **** you just don't like hearing the truth. FPS are best played pc with a mouse and keyboard, PC's are superior to consoles when it comes to graphics and hardware. This universal truth has always been the same doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.

Deal with it and move on.

Personally, if I see a film in 720p or 1080p for me, I don't really see a difference. It's HD and to me thats all that matters. .

Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood,
Where Christopher Robin plays.
You'll find the enchanted neighborhood,
of Christopher's childhood days.

A donkey named Eeyore is his friend.
And Kanga and Little Roo.
There's Rabbit and Piglet.
And there's Owl.
But most of all Winnie the Pooh!

Dude lets be real.

A q6600 is old and is a cpu bottleneck in many games with many modern gpu's.

Agreed. On a mid-range PC or Steam Machine you can hit 1080p / 60 quite easily. This console generation is already last gen.
Depends, I couldn't get 60fps at 1080p for BF4 on the mid range PC I built a while ago (I didn't have gaming as main goal though, but did have a decent graphics card and specs). I had to lower the graphics to medium to be able to achieve those. It didn't have issues with other games though, so I half blame the programming and optimization quality here.

Yes you may not quite make 1080p 60FPS on ultra hi settings. But any decent pc rig can usually pull it off on high or med settings. Personally I don't mind a bit of detail disappearing if I'm running smoothly at 60FPS and 1080p. Frankly it feels weird to play a game lower then 1080p for years. Also Long Live the Master Race!

Having a console tends to make it simpler for people to play online games with friends ( friends in the physical life, not online). Not everyone has a bunch of computer savy friends they can convince to game in a way they are not familiar with.

I would much rather have all my friends abandon their consoles and go buy a decent gaming PC, but it's simply not going to happen... as is the case for many people in my "situation"... which is good anyways. They just simply don't want to deal with the other hassles of a computer just to play video games.

They want to press 1 button, maybe hit A or whatever, and have the game starting/started in under 20 seconds right from a cold boot if need be. No installing extra ****. Just 2 buttons. Practically no software maintenance besides the standard (and few) console/game updates, of which or simple as hell to navigate through even if you dont know what you're doing. Oh and they're especially great for those who don't have much free time too.

Not everyone needs the most options possible when they only want the basics.

I doubt most families are going to go with the pc just because how better it can be than a console lmfao. Those are the main consumers of gaming. Families with children

Hi - I am Roy Taylor,

This is simply NOT True! All XBox1 and PS4 super AMD 8x 1,6 GHz Nextgen Game consoles can easy pull 60 FPS with maximum details with full HD 1080p resolution. All Games will be optimized to AMD revolutionary GCN GPU architectures - with excellent AMD prosperity low Level MATLE support for all future Games and feature rich HSA hUMA and Tress FX AMD technology special effects. Nvidia is Dead, no one like Nvidia, no one like Nvidia PhysX Wicher 3 Game - every AMD Fanboy knows that, cus AMD Fixer Videos are nominated for oscars and with AMD NextGen UBER R390X Fiji GPUs for only 99 USD - we will reach 98% markets share in a few days. Nvidia so is doomed... (y) Only AMD is market leader => of AMD GPU worldwide!

That's just sad. Id rather have pure console them some half powered tablet\media center.

Let me reiterate, those media players play games?

I wonder what cpu\gpu usage % all the bloatware pulls in the background.
