F1 25's path tracing demands an RTX 5080 just to hit 1080p with upscaling

RT and PT are not the same thing. No way the 7900XTX can do actual path tracing in this game at any reasonably playable settings. If that's what they're claiming, then either they are wrong or this game makes extremely mild usage of path tracing.

I'm a fan of AMD, but the performance to do PT just doesn't exist in the 7000 series.
yeah, the claim minimum specs for Path tracing is RX 7900 XTX OR RTX 5080 are weird. those two are night and day. they should make another column probably "Path Tracing High", or something then put 5080 there, not alongside the XTX.

that will just make people thinking that the game are horribly unnecessary hard to run.

Well yeah this is path tracing lol. I'm really glad they included the setting for future GPUs! That should make it age a whole lot better. I'd simply run "normal" mode because, well, that's for everyone else lol.

"Are system requirements charts getting out of hand?"

No, they are not. Path tracing is extremely expensive but you do not have to play with path tracing at all.

Okay, but a 4070 Ti Super can even pull off path tracing in CP77 at 1440p, provided you use frame gen. Then you get around 90-100 fps. In this F1 game we are only talking about 60 fps at 1080p, using frame gen, on far stronger hardware.

Where did I say RT and PT are the same thing?
