Battlefield Hardline won't hit 1080p on either console

What's funny to me is that the people posting on here about PC superiority act as if they are the target market for consoles...you do realize consoles are a different product aimed at a predominantly different market right? Sure there is overlap, but look at the Wii, it wasn't techy PC elitists buying all those up when that craze was happening. Consoles aren't made and marketed towards people who build their own PCs. I own a gaming PC that is used for some games at my desk, and I own a PS4 and Xbox One that I enjoy in my home theater with my surround sound system. When I game on my PC I sit up and use a keyboard and mouse, with my consoles I lay back and on my couch, different experiences. Not everyone has the knowledge, patience, or desire to build their own PC and game on it. People like the ease and simplicity of a console, different markets. As for 1080p...ever look at the human eye's ability to resolve resolution at x distance? on a 50 inch screen the full benefit of 1080p isn't realized until you're at about 6 ft or closer to the screen...that's pretty close, most people aren't sitting that close the their tv. For a 60 inch screen (like I have) at 10 feet you've hit the full benefit of 720p, and are maybe half way to experiencing the full benefit of 1080p. Moral of this story is that for the average console user, resolution doesn't really matter much past 720p, the human eye simply cannot detect much difference, certainly not enough to detract from gameplay, there are much more important things that can actually be perceived. I realize this post is mostly pointless as you PC elitists are just going in a circle stroking each others' egos, but just so you know, the billion dollar industry that is still going strong in the console market will keep on churning, because there is a market for it, and it's probably not you. I like PC gaming as much as the next PC gamer (well maybe a bit less less), but if you've ever managed to stumble into a college class dealing with business you would realize that this whole, "I could totally build a PC that KILLS consoles for less!" means absolutely nothing.

So you must be a very satisfied customer, since the ps4 is all about remakes and remastered versions...
I wouldn't call them remakes or remasters but just ports of games that just released. GTAV port to PC are we gonna call that a remaster because the last time I checked that game was released 2 years ago, so the PC version is the remastered version?

They are not talking **** you just don't like hearing the truth. FPS are best played pc with a mouse and keyboard, PC's are superior to consoles when it comes to graphics and hardware. This universal truth has always been the same doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.

Deal with it and move on.

In your opinion you like playing a shooter game with a mouse and keyboard. In my opinion playing games with a mouse and keyboard are **** compared to playing with a controller. Only game I ever preferred the mouse and keyboard was Minecraft but that might just be because the developers suck at giving it a proper controller setup.

On a side note if you got your wish of consoles dying out you can kiss all the big games *** good bye because it would effectively kill off the aaa games market and all you would get for the most part are the indie games that everyone is calling the PS4 trash over since that's what a majority of the games on PS4 are. The prices people get on Steam for big budget games that PC fanboys orgasm over would definitely sky rocket because if you didn't know the PC version hardly ever pay for themselves let alone the development of the whole game, usually the console versions are what make all the money for multiplatform games.

That's why you do both son.

I have a game fight pad for fighting games like Ultra street fight 4 and injustice that I play on my PC. Then I have a 360 controller with analog sticks for my driving games like need for speed and everything else is mouse and keyboard and I have all the bases covered. Playing on a PC doesn't mean you have to be limited to one option and that is the advantage of a PC versatility.

I never said I wanted consoles to die so don't put words in my mouth.

I clearly said FPS are best played with a mouse and keyboard the people that make BF also agree.

I have to agree on this one. I play solely on PC and I play all my games with a controller. If a game doesn't have gamepad support, I won't even consider buying it.
Now regarding FPS games: even though they're not my cup of tea, I can say I'm consistently much better than most people who play with their master race keyboard and mouse. And before anyone calls me a liar, here's a video of me doing it.

All that video shows is you are good at the game.

It doesn't change the fact that a keyboard and mouse is superior to a game pad for first person shooters. That is a FACT not opinon!

Ok, you are correct. I won't argue that mouse and keyboard are potentially better for fps. But when I say "potentially", I mean : is everybody good enough to hit the wall imposed by controllers and feel that their performance is actually being hampered by not using a mouse and keyboard? The gap is most certainly there, I would have to be a fool to deny it. My point is that in the hands of the average player, it makes little difference what kind of input they're using. The same goes for arcade sticks in fighting games and even manual/automatic gearboxes in real life cars. The problem is that average Joes are embracing facts that are true for the real pros and never questioning them. The same goes for me, as soon as I realized I would inevitably suck or rule in certain games regardless of input method, I just gave up the search for the perfect controls and stuck with whatever feels most comfortable. In my case, a gamepad.

Edit: of course, if one has never practiced a particular input method with a certain type of game, they will immediately feel handicapped. But provided you have practiced the new input for a reasonable amount of time, will you be much better in one or other?

Good points.

Its going to be very subjective to the player.

Some will be able to game on both and will be comfortable others will prefer one over the other because that is what they are use to. So at the end of the day you still choose what works best for you.

Everything always comes down to practice and how familiar you are with levels, where the choke points are and just how other humans will play certain maps.

As someone that uses both and I've been gaming since the NES nothing currently beats the accuracy of a mouse when it comes to aiming. And 90% of those Consoles have aim assist on, which a PC player would turn off.
