Battlefield V will take gamers back to World War II

A mediocre big studio launching a mediocre title for a tired overexploited franchise on a tired, overabused concept?
Yea, it's going to sell like hot bread.
How much they will give up historical accuracy for a more family friendly experience or catering to a demography that at large doesn't actually buy videogames?

BF1 introduced large-scale naval battles with one of the BF1 DLCs. Dreadnoughts, destroyers, boats, airships, planes...it's a great demonstration of what they could do with WW2 since they'd have more options.

A step in the right direction but I wouldn't really call that large-scale. About the same as BF4 to be honest...

bf4 is definitely not just skins that is why I never got the newer bf1 you had to unlock the better weapons even though I paid $100 for the game

You paid $100 for the base game and DLC's (Premium). Unlocking weapons is nothing new in BF. Instead of unlocking it via XP, you "buy" them with war bonds that you earn as you rank up. You can purchase an unlock to get all of the weapons without the progression. Not sure why you would want to do that. Plus, the guns you unlocked aren't always the best for you.

"unlocking weapons is nothing new" you make it sound like it is ok to pay for a game then waste time trying to unlock new weapons while other people can 1shot u with their sniper rifle but your sniper rifle takes 2 or 3 shots doesn't sound fun or fair to me. EA is so greedy usually companies only do this for games that are free 2 play but ea think they can incorparate f2p mechanics into a paid game EA is a joke. this is what happens when you take a gaming company and list it on the public stock exchange. (it is all about money)

So, you're upset that someone played longer than you and unlocked a 'better' weapon before you? Every online FPS I've played that was not a F2P has a ranking system of some sort that you get to unlock new weapons. It's giving a gamer something to work on while playing a game. And yes, it's nothing new. The fact you think BF1 has F2P mechanics in it is just absurd.

you make it sound like it is ok to pay for a game then waste time trying to unlock new weapons

Um, just about every FPS (online or SP) has some sort of unlocking mechanism for new weapons as you progress on the game. It gives the player another purpose to play the game. It's nothing new and its been like this for years. I think the issue is that you want everything without having to work for it.
