I just recently ordered an i7 7700k and needing to know what cooler to buy. Mildly familiar in building PC's but this is only my second one hands on in 3 years. My budget is around $100 but will spend a little extra if needed. Biggest issue is that I will not be overclocking initially as my motherboard doesn't allow it. I'm just concerned that the stock i5 7400 intel cooler won't keep it cool enough and may damage my new purchase.
My current build is:
MSI H110m Pro-D Motherboard
GTX 1060 3gb Graphics Card
8 Gb DDR4 Ram
650w EVGA Power Supply
Mid-Tower Corsair case
Please give me your feedback and thoughts to what cooler will get the job done, but also future proof to handle OC when iI purchase a new motherboard. Thanks@!
