Bill Gates takes aim at Elon Musk: I'd rather fund vaccines than go to Mars

Twisting words is an act of dishonesty. Man isn't "trashing" the planet-- but Mother Nature eventually will herself. Anything from an asteroid strike to GRB to supervolcanic "endless winter" to the sun's eventual expansion into a red giant are all possible. In fact, had the process not been reversed, the global decline of atmospheric CO2 would eventually kill all life on earth. It's happened once before in the earth's past, when a deadly trace gas in the atmosphere began to increase, causing lifeforms then to die in favor of those which could withstand this corrosive poison:

Educating the people brainwashed into the "climate change" scam is an exercise in futility.

I had to stop reading right there. Denial, especially of the extremely obvious, gives me a headache.
To primitive tribespeople, the "facts" that the earth was flat, and the sun revolved around the earth were equally obvious. Today, mankind has never been better fed, closed, housed, or cared for. We're exposed to fewer dangerous environmental toxins than the Ancient Romans, Chinese, or Phoenicians. Our air and water has never been cleaner -- in Medieval Europe, for instance, water quality was so bad that even infants were given beer to drink, and in 1950s London, air quality was so poor that, in one single day alone, more than 4,000 people died from lung complications.

I encourage you to read a book like the below, written by a former college professor, Presidential cabinet member, head of the AEC, and Governor of the State of Washington, which concisely disassembles the myth that man is "trashing the planet":

"And so [that] just kind of grounds you, as in - don't go to Mars."

That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard from Gates. That's like saying, well you can distribute Linux for free around the world, so, don't buy Windows.

It's not a vaccines or Mars situation. It can be vaccines AND Mars. And, even a techie like Gates should be able to understand that the Earth is a single point of failure for mankind. If you want any sort of "disaster" recovery option then we need to be in multiple places and Mars and the Moon seem like the easiest choices we have right now.

So pick a small collection of rivers. Then see if It's safe to eat all the fish you want from them.
And next we can share some pictures. I will start with some abandoned mines and areas that were used for oil extraction. Just on land, I will save offshore rigs for later, since I have deep knowledge of what those are doing to the oceans. No green peace stuff.
Just cold hard facts. (CONservatives are free to cover their eyes for that. Again.)

Our air and water has never been cleaner -- in Medieval Europe, for instance, water quality was so bad that even infants were given beer to drink, and in 1950s London, air quality was so poor that, in one single day alone, more than 4,000 people died from lung complications.

Actually, that's not quite true. While the average lifespan at the world level has been increasing, it's only because the poorest nations have improved personal hygiene, and realized the importance of clean water. It's not allowed to poo around water wells anymore.

But in developed and semi-developed countries, for the first time the lifespan of middle class has started shrinking. This is caused by many different poisons that are in small quantities added to almost everything we use. So that a single product can pass the test, but if you come in touch with a few of them, they add up and produce illnesses.

Those poisons are deliberately added to food (carcinogenic pesticides, carcinogenic preservatives, taste enhancers with known side-effects), and to drinking water, and to soft drinks, to clothing colors, to detergents, to plastic bottles, other plastic products (including toys for children), menstrual pads, cosmetics, frying pans, and whatnot. The number of contaminated products is constantly increasing.

We have examples of toxic teflon, which was sold until recently. Did we see similar campaign as against smoking? Nope. Even though teflon was actually more toxic.

Or E250 / E251, which is added to all processed meat products. You know when they say: "Statistics show that people who eat meat products are more prone to cancer"? Well, the key is in the words "meat products". Because meat alone is a lot safer, but processed meat products are impregnated with carcinogenic E250. Open your fridge, take any salami, packaged bacon, any packaged meat product, read the label, I guarantee there's either E250 or E251 in them. Known carcinogenic, causing colon cancer and other intestinal cancers.

Same goes for "safe" pesticides used to grow GMO plants, which are the basis of nowadays plant-based died. Be healthy, eat lots of vegetables, and still die of colon cancer.

Or say Byshpenol-A, which is a known gender-bender (estrogen emulator, feminizes male children) found in transparent plastic products, including bottles for feeding babies. The product is banned in Canada and Europe, but allowed in USA and many other countries. But just because it's banned doesn't mean there are no children toys impregnated with it. Inspections can only test a small number of products.

Same category of gender-benders are phataltes. They are banned in most of western countries, but still legal in less developed countries which make products that are sold worldwide. Inspections cannot properly test all the toys, so contaminated toys come in contact with their target population.

Or aspartame, which was banned in 1980'es, because it was toxic for brain and a possible cause of Alzheimer's. But 20 years later all those results were rejected and aspartame was approved. It causes brain damage, but that's exactly what the people who approved it want. Same is the case with most of artificial sweeteners. So no wonder they predict steep increase in Alzheimer's in the near future. How did they know? By using a crystal ball? Nope. They know what they are doing.

So, we're not improving anymore. Peak has been passed. Now we're declining. On purpose.

Well, seeing as people of that time were crapping in the water they would drink, also dumping garbage in it along with animal remains. And humans did that too.
1950s London, air quality was so poor that, in one single day alone, more than 4,000 people died from lung complications.
I'm thinking you are talking about London's great smog in the early 50s, which was caused by massive amounts of industrial pollution and combined with unfavorable weather conditions.
And yes, humans did that too, so I'm wondering just how many people have even the basics of exactly what we are doing to the environment now.

Medieval Europe and even 1950s England didn't have even near the huge populations centered in small locations that we do now.

Many things we are doing do not have immediate cause and effect. I often wonder how many people realize what the human effects on the rain forest has done to atmospheric balance.

The importance of consistent ocean water temps is absolutely vital. A fraction of a degree is a différance maker, and it is awful right now and getting worse.

We know we can do something. We have a good bit of proof that we CAN effect the environment. Look at the dire condition the ozone was in during the 70s. We have already made improvements on that.

In 2018, Musk said he would send a manned spaceship to land on Mars. Well, he's got a year to do it.
It never ceases to amaze me that Americans are so gullible towards the rich con-men. The only reason that Bill Gates formed the Gates Trust was to avoid paying the tax he should be paying, and Musk is making billions off the backs of the American taxpayer. But Hey! Americans love him for it. I guess it must be all the drugs they take on a daily basis.

Freudian slip?

With current CONservative "priorities" don't worry, the air and water will soon be back to its polluted past.

I guess you have no comprehension of the meaning of "?" or do you?
Man isn't "trashing" the planet
Denial is another state. I guess you come from there.

Yes, I know the sky is falling, or, in something predicted to take roughtly 4.5 billion years, we should all run away and hide with Musk on Mars. Oh wait, won't that Red Giant eat Mars, too?

I bet it is nearly as bad as trying to convince everyone "It's all good. There's nothing wrong. Move along." 🤣
The same Davos God's (including pedo Bill Gates) that tell us to get vaccinated, eat bugs, and that men can have babies are the same ones who preach to masses about how they're the experts on science. Probably why the likes of middle school drop-out Greta Thunberg is their unofficial spokesperson.
