A previous member named "thatonecoolkid" posted a message here on how a flash drive was causing a Blinking Hourglass issue. We spent hours running malware and other programs trying to solve this phantom virus we were chasing and by chance ran across the solution as we had the same flash drive plugged in. Thanks to "thatonecoolkid" for taking the time to post the solution. I am taking this time to say Thanks to him or her for doing this. There must be many users out there not knowing how a simple flash drive can ruin your day or your whole week.
