Blue screen on my laptop and now it wont turn on

hi new here and im trying to figure out a problem i had with my laptop. I turned it on and got the blue screen of death saying that windows encounter a problem and needs to shut down to protect the computer. That is a far as i got on reading it before it shut down, and now it wont even turn back on. the only thing that turns on is the power light and that is it. is there a way to fix it or is it just dead completely.I dont hear anything when i turn it on either is just the ights. im completely stumped and need a little help thanks

what is the make and model of the laptop and have you made any hardware changes recently?
