Blue screen with stop message!

A bit desperate for help here. I know nothing about computers apart from the fact that I use them for networking. I have had troubles this morning when it won't start up. After numerous attempts and unplugging and replugging in it started and went to a black screen: hardware disk configuration problem. I turned it off then on again and it went to a blue screen with a stop message, a lot of numbers and a win32k.sys address. My computer did not come with reboot disks and it is 4 years old. I did a defrag yesterday and it seemed fine. Please help....

Take note of the error code and any worded message above it. the error code will be Bccode 0x000000??
Make not of any message like 'Bad_pool_header, IRQ_not_less_or_equal, bad memory management , etc
your rig will generate a dump file as well for the event.
Come back with this info and we will have a look.

Hopefully Tmagic will stop in, a whiz with this stuff

Blue screen with "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent further damage, etc".

Stop: 0x0000008E (0x0000005, 0xBF8011E6, 0xF77BBA48, 0x00000000).

win32k.sys address BF8011E6 base at BF000000, datestamp 4eccf442. It did say it did a dump?? which was completed. unsure what that means.
