Boeing 747s still use 3.5-inch floppy disks for critical software updates

My Boss at the time didn't want to buy CD ROM Drives for the PCs to install Win95. He didn't even want to buy a Portable CD Rom Drive. However paying me all the extra hours feeding floppies was OK.
CD Rom drives weren't cheap either. I bought one for about $300, a Plextor and it had a caddy system. I went to install it and it turned out it was a SCSI CD Rom Drive. Aurgh! I didn't know anything about SCSI drives or the connection at the time. So as looked into it I found a sound card that had the scuzzy connection. Orchid. Fun times. Launch the hobby.
