Boot Up Problems

Hi Folks, I'm hoping you can give me some advice with this little problem.
I'm upgrading my son's PC, so I bought a Jetway V4DP MOBO and a Sempron 2400 CPU with 256MB of PC3200 memory. I fitted it all and everything seemed to work OK, for about 1 day.
When I turned it on the next day, it ran through the POST as normal, but when it got to the part that said 'booting from hard drive', it sat there and did nothing.
I thought perhaps it was a prob with the hd so I changed the BIOs to boot from from the floppy first and put a boot disk in, but it did exactly the same. I tried it booting from the CDROM and put the XP disk in the drive, but still the same, it just doesn't seem to be looking for any type of boot device and hangs up at this point.

Any ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated

When you change motherboard, you also need to reinstall your OS.
Windows has all the drivers from the hardware on the previous mobo, and they will never work with the new mobo. Go to the Windows forum and lookm in the top Read: How to Repair XP/W2k.... to do a re-install-in-place.
