ok here is my dilemma...friend had xp home on system..most files were missng so therefore wouldnt load windows and her xp home cd was corrupt. so i used my xp pro to format hard drive and put a clean install of xp pro on system. well, about 80% of installing files to harddrive... i get the blue screen of death with this error code...ive read and read and read til my eyes are bulging out on the first 2 codes and cant find diddly on the rest...plz help if you can...ty

i did reboot machine back up and went into the recovery console to see what all had been installed on harddrive...well nothing but the windows directory with most of the sub-directories, not all c:\windows\ files were there...i tried running a chkdsk /p /r and it got about 50% done and said i had unrecoverable errors then rebooted system....<sigh> so should i just get a new harddrive?? lol any suggestions are much appreciated...
