Any help would be appreciated. Bought this dell latitude D610 laptop for daughter to complete homework on and cannot install anything via cd as the disk drive is very loud and vibrates. I don't know if this has anything to do with this. Thanks.

The optical disk drive may be failing and it could very well be causing these issues. The hard drive may be causing this too, because they are both attached to the IDE/ATAPI Port...
