BSOD immediately when turning on comp

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I have very limited computer knowledge and this problem is driving me mad.

I have a Dell running Windows XP, and every time I turn it on, it gets to the screen where it says "Windows" and the blue loading dots go by in the little silver bar. Unfortunately, before the first dot ever moves, the screen freezes and changes to the BSOD.

My computer tells me to disable certain things or remove recently installed programs, and gives me a STOP message with "NTSF.SYS" appearing on the screen.

I have no idea what any of this means. As the computer will not start either normally or in any safe mode, I can't very well run CHKDSK (as it tells me to) or disable anything.

Can someone help me? This computer is one we use daily for our business and I honestly can't afford to hire a professional to fix it. If anyone knows of a way to fix this problem, please let me know and I'd be eternally grateful.
